Cookies and browser storage
About booking drafts, analytics choices, visitor statistics and technical services on the website.
Booking drafts
We use browser storage for booking functions and to remember your analytics choice. Google Analytics is loaded only after you have accepted analytics.
Information you enter during booking is temporarily stored in the browser’s sessionStorage. This lets you continue between booking steps without entering everything again.
The draft contains driver and booking information, but not the contents of uploaded files. It is removed after successful submission.
Avoid leaving an unfinished booking on a shared device.
Your analytics choice
We remember whether you have accepted or declined Google Analytics by storing your choice in the browser’s localStorage.
You can open ‘Analytics settings’ at any time to change your choice. You can decline analytics and still use the booking function.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics is used to understand visits and use of the website, including where visitors leave the booking process.
The service is loaded only after you have accepted analytics. When you withdraw consent, the website disables further analytics and attempts to remove first-party Google Analytics cookies.
Withdrawal does not automatically remove information already sent to Google.
Our own visitor statistics
We also maintain our own visitor statistics without cookies. We record, among other things, pages visited, booking steps, language, referring website, campaign information, country, and device and browser type. Information from the booking form itself is not included.
The IP address and user agent are used when receiving the request to derive statistics and calculate a visitor code for the day. They are not stored in the statistics dataset itself. The visitor code is pseudonymous and is not intended to recognise visitors across days.
Raw statistical events are deleted after 90 days through daily cleanup. Daily totals are then retained.
You can opt out by opening the website with ?stats=off in the address. An opt-out choice is then stored in the browser. You can reverse the opt-out with ?stats=on, or contact us about the processing.
Google Maps
The website displays Google Maps. When the map loads, a connection is established between your browser and Google. This happens separately from your Google Analytics choice.
YouTube
One guide on the website contains a YouTube video. The video loads only when you press play. YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com) may then store data in your browser. This happens separately from your Google Analytics choice.
Error reporting
Sentry is used to detect and investigate technical errors. Error reporting is separate from visitor analytics and may start even if you have declined Google Analytics.
Managing browser storage
You can delete or block cookies and other storage in your browser settings. This may cause booking drafts or saved choices to disappear.
